These classes are for beginning and young swimmers not yet able to swim a length of the pool. The classes are small, no more than 3 swimmers with the instructor in the water with the swimmers. Swimmers learn first water safety through breathing and rolling, proper head position, proper body position, and arm and leg movements in backstroke and freestyle. Many of our successful older swimmers and Team TOLL swimmers began in these beginning classes, some as young as three years old. Successful swimming begins with a good foundation in technique.
During fall, winter, and spring sessions we offer beginning half-hour classes on Friday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday afternoon between 12:30 and 3:30 pm.
